Dr. Clément Chéroux (b. 1970) is an art historian and author and the director of the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson in Paris. Before he was Senior Curator of Photography at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. 2007 to 2016 he had worked as a curator and leading curator for photography at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He studied aesthetics, technology and fine art at the University of Paris and photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles. He was promoted in art history at the Université Paris, Panthéon-Sorbonne.
