Ibrahim Mahama (b. 1987, Tamale, Ghana) makes monumental installations. He uses coarse jute sacks draped as a large patchwork over buildings. 2015 he participated at the 56th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale 'All The World’s Futures' curated by Okwui Enwezor, and 2017 at documenta 14 in Kassel. He studied Painting and Sculpture at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and currently lives and works in Tamale, Ghana.
In 2019 he will participate at the 58. Venice Biennale.
