Kathy Acker (born 1947, New York City, 1997, Tijuana, Mexico) was a poet, essayist and performance artist, who inspired a new generation of writers with her experimental texts. Kathy Acker studied at Brandeis University; New York University; University of California, San Diego with David Antin and Jerome Rothenberg.
