Miroslav Tichý (b.1926, Netcice / Czech Republic, d. 2011, Kyjov / Czech Republic) was a painter and photographer. He studied at the Academy of Arts in Prague and spent most of his time in Kyjov as a social outsider. Using cameras, which he made from old lenses, plexiglas, paper rolls, and gum, he photographed women on the streets of the city. In 2004, Harald Szeemann exhibited his works at the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Seville.
