Nicolas Bourriaud

Nicolas Bourriaud (b. 1965) is an art theorist, critic and curator. He has curated many exhibitions and biennials. In 1993 he curated Aperto '93 at Venice Biennale, in 1999 he was the founder of the Palais de Tokyo Paris together with Jérôme Sans, 1999 to 2006 he was co-director of Palais de Tokyo, 2007 to 2010 he was curator at Tate Britain London, 2011 to 2015 he directed the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts Paris, and in 2019 he curates the 16th Istanbul Biennial.
