Salimata Diop is the Artistic Director of AKAA (Also Known As Africa) in Paris, 2016. Previously she worked as the director of Cultural Programming at the Africa Centre, UK, and has curated a number of significant international exhibitions, including 'RETREAT IN DELUSION' at Comptoirs du Fleuve (Dakar Biennale 2016).

A passionate educator, Uche is an ex-resident and Alumnus of the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (2011-12) and a founding member of the Nigerian-based Blackbox photography collective, the Invisible Borders Trans-African Project, the Nlele Institute (TNI) and Lagos OPEN RANGE. As a photographer, Uche won the Seydou Keïta Award for photography at Bamako Encounters in both 2009 and 2015, and participated in the 56th Venice Biennale, 'All the World's Futures' as part of Invisble Borders.

Pierre-Christophe Gam was part of the advisory board of the acclaimed touring exhibition 'Making Africa: A Continent of Contemporary Design.' His work has been exhibited at the Kunsthal Rotterdam (Rotterdam: 2016); Unseen Festival and Photo Fair (Amsterdam: 2016); Guggenheim Museum (Bilbao: 2015) and Lagos Photo Festival (2014).

Thembinkosi Goniwe will work with Ruzy Rusike in a mentor-mentee dialogue for the curation of ‘South Africa: Contemporary Art Now’ at the ART AFRICA FAIR, 2017.

As part of ART AFRICA FAIR’s vision to develop and empower contemporary African art, Thembinkosi Goniwe will mentor Ruzy Rusike in the curation of ‘South Africa: Contemporary Art Now’. Prior to this exhibition, Thembinkosi has curated shows throughout major international institutions, including Museum Africa, the FNB JoburgArtFair, the Edinburgh Arts Festival and the 54th Venice Biennale.
