Schomburg Gallery is pleased to announce "Under One Roof" an exhibition of paintings by Jill Hoy and Jon Imber.

Jill Hoy's lush, expansive paintings of fantastical scenes combine mythology and art historical references with literary ideologies to create landscapes brimming with energy, heat and movement. Her paintings are passionate explorations of human enterprise, men and women on the brink of self discovery. Jill Hoy is a graduate of University of California at Santa Cruz. She also studied at the New York Academy of Art. Jill Hoy's paintings are included in over 400 private and corporate collections in the US, including Boston Public Library, Harvard Business School, Fidelity Investments and L.L. Bean.

Jon Imber's paintings announce themselves exuberantly through color and shape; his images of flowers and shells confound traditional notions of staid artistic boundaries and limits, his paintings opening out into free associative experience. Jon Imber received his MFA at Boston University. He currently teaches at Harvard University. Jon Imber's paintings are in numerous collections including the following museum collections: Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA; Farnsworth Museum, Rockland, ME; Decordova Museum, Lincoln, MA; and Rose Art Museum, Brandeis Museum, Waltham, MA.
