Michael Müller. Das Scheitern der Oberfläche

Die Galerie Thomas Schulte zeigt zum Saisonstart ihre erste Soloausstellung von Michael Müller. Der 1970 geborene Künstler präsentiert in "Das Scheitern der Oberfläche" fünf neue Arbeiten, die um das zentrale Thema von systemischen und strukturellen Phänomenen in der Sprache bzw. deren Auflösung oder Brechung kreisen. Dabei arbeitet Müller mit verschiedenen Medien: der Zeichnung, Soundinstallation sowie einer Rauminstallation, in der er uns in die Unterwelt der griechischen Mythologie führt. Parallel zur Ausstellung in den eigenen Räumen präsentiert die Galerie Thomas Schulte Michael Müller auf der abc art berlin contemporary "about painting".

Galerie Thomas Schulte will open the new season with its first solo show with Michael Müller. In the exhibition titled "Das Scheitern der Oberfläche", the artist, born in 1970, will present five new works centralizing on the topic of systematic and structural phenomenon in language, and the resolution, that is, refraction thereof. Thereby Müller utilizes various mediums, from drawing to sound installation, as well as an installation in which he depicts a scene of the Greek mythological underworld. Parallel to the exhibition in the gallery's own space, Galerie Thomas Schulte will also be presenting new work by Michael Müller at this year's abc art berlin contemporary "about painting".
