Thomas Bang

Thomas Bang (born 1938) is among the foremost of Danish contemporary artists. He began as a painter in the early 1960's, but became involved in the area of sculpture toward the end of the decade. Bang works with various forms of complex, theatricalised installations in which narrative components play an active part. His career spans more than four decades, and with this exhibition The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek aims to present an extensive selection of Bang's works in the context of the museum's permanent collections.
