Voodoo Shit

Five important things you should know: Voodoo Shit is street talk for faux non-specific spiritual activity. Voodoo Shit is not a phrase normally used by the Hales Gallery staff or artists (or in fact anyone else in normal conversation). It is an expression mainly used in the movies. Voodoo Shit has nothing to do with normal religious practice. It just looks similar. It’s all front and about as scary as a ghost train. Voodoo Shit has not been selected with any rigorous intellectual framework but with an instinct for the atmosphere. Voodoo Shit is a catch all phrase embracing everything from celebrity adoration to the worship of fairgrounds.
