Doug Hall (born 1944 San Francisco) was a media artist and photographer. He studied at the Rinehart School of Sculpture of the Maryland Institute of Art, Baltimore; at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture; and at the Harvard University (Anthropology). He has received numerous awards and fellowships including from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Fulbright Foundation, and the Rome Prize at the American Academy Rome. He is Professor Emeritus at the San Francisco Art Institute. His works are collected by the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Tate Modern, London; Whitney Museum, New York, amongst others.
