Enzo Mari (b. 1932, Novara / Italy; d. 2020, Milan) was an artist, designer, theorist, curator and teacher. His primary concern was good design for everyone. He developed tables, chairs, shelves and beds that can be easily assembled and initiated a critical discourse on sustainable, democratic design. In 1968 he participated at documenta 4 in Kassel. Enzo Mari studied literature and art at the Accademia di Brera in Milan.
