Joao Laia

João Laia (b. 1981, Lisbon) is a writer and curator and since June 2019 the Chief Curator for exhibitions at Kiasma – Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki. Recent projects were held at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, MNAC - National Museum of Contemporary in Lisbon, Delfina Foundation, South London Gallery, Cell Project Space, Whitechapel Gallery London, amongst others. He has published in magazines and newspapers such as frieze, Mousse, Spike Art Quarterly, Flash Art, and others.
