The Lumière Brothers (Auguste Marie Louis Nicolas Lumière, b. 1862, Besançon; d. 1954, Lyon; and Louis Jean Lumière, b. 1864, Besançon, d. 1948, Bandol, Var) were pioneers of cinema. They developed their film camera and projector 'Cinematograph', which also could develop the films and in 1895 they showed the film “Workers leave the Lumière Works” in front of an audience.
