Marie Orensanz (b. 1936, Mar del Plata/Argentina) lives in Argentina and France. In 1999 she won the competition for a Memorial to the Victims of State Terrorism (Thinking is a Revolutionary Act, 1999-2009). In 2007 her work was shown in a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires. Marie Orensanz studied painting with Emilio Pettoruti and Antonio Seguí.
