Robert Doisneau (1912 born in Gentilly / Paris, died in Paris 1994) was a photographer, who studied at École Estienne in Paris. He worked as a factory photographer of the Renault factory, as Photographer for the Resistance, and for magazines like Vogue, Life, Paris Match, amongst others. In 1949 he published a book about Parisian suburbs, together with Blaise Cendrars and in 1968 a report of "50 Years Soviet Union". In his photography, Robert Doisneau turns to people in their everyday lives.
