Shigeru Ōnishi (b. 1928, Takahashi/Japan; d. 1994) produced photographs and abstract calligraphic ink paintings. His work was exhibited in Europe in the 1960s and 1970s along with works by the Gutai group. Ōnishi studied mathematics at Hokkaido University.
