The Hellenic American Union starts its fall visual arts program by presenting the European artists’ group exhibition entitled: "Everyday stories".
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 8:30 p.m., in the galleries of the Hellenic American Union (Massalias 22, Kolonaki). The exhibition is curated by the visual artist/curator Artemis Potamianou.
Sixteen artists, five of them Greek, are inspired by the everyday life –which they have as common basis- though avoiding the descriptive, linear illustration of scenes. By employing various expressive media, from photography and painting to installations and video art, the “everyday stories” are a comment on the everyday life, highlighting personal relationships, psychological transitions and criticism.
Participating artists: Ana Laura Aláez, b., Nikos Charalambidis, Vadim Fiškin, Yiannis Grigoriadis, Zilla, Leutenegger, Ivan Moudov, Clement Page, Leta Peer, Dan Perjovschi, Vassilis Polychronakis, Artemis Potamianou, Werner Reiterer, Thomson & Craighead, Rui Toscano, Juan Zamora.
