Mimmo Jodice from the Cotroneo Collection

After the Gabriele Basilico exhibition that saw the photographic lens focus on Trentino, Mart now hosts the work of another Italian master: Mimmo Jodice. These exhibitions mark the start of a programme of events the museum will be dedicating to the photographic image. Mimmo Jodice is today considered one of Italy ’ s finest photographers. His images of interiors and outside spaces, rigorously free from human figures, express aesthetic values that make them much more than the merely documentary records we are accustomed to. Jodice ’ s work is always approached thematically and these examples have come to Mart from the Anna Rosa and Giovanni Cotroneo art collection.
