SUPERVISION

Organized by Ciara Ennis, brings together powerful photographic and video installations by Dutch artist Nicoline van Harskamp and American artist Jill Magid that examine in uniquely different ways the expanding phenomenon of surveillance and increased supervision of public and private space. In addition to exploring the values and motivations of Californian law enforcers and security officers Nicoline van Harskamp continues her extensive research and documentation of uniforms in her Guide to Guards series. Jill Magid presents Evidence Locker, 2004, her epic collaboration with members of the Liverpool Police department in the UK and all 242 CCTV cameras that watch the city. Magid transforms 31 days of surveillance footage into unique multi channel video installations.
