55und30 | Mirko Reisser (DAIM)

The title refers to his 30th anniversary as graffiti artist DAIM and also to the 55th year of existence of the gallery, which has been established by Six Friedrich and her former husband Heiner Friedrich in 1963.

Following his first exhibition in 2010, Mirko Reisser (DAIM) presents his second solo exhibition 55und30 at Gallery MaxWeberSixFriedrich.

Was it the attitude to life of the 80s or the experience of Minimal Art, that makes us so familiar with Mirko Reisser and his analytic–constructivist compositions?

He gained worldwide fame with his explosive graffiti works, whilst creating a more contemplative world in his studio.

With his seemingly three dimensional works out the spray can, their soft outlines and brilliant colour palette he created his own and unique vocabulary of form.

Besides a big wall creation, other new works from the studio will be presented at the gallery.
