The retrospective show of creativity of great master of the ХХth century gets a special urgency because Alexander Shevchenko's last monographic exhibition (1883–1948) has taken place in the Tretyakov gallery in 1924. In works of the painter and the graphic artist which aspired to synthesis of arts, inherent first thirds of XX-th century neoclassical tendencies have incorporated. Works from collecton of the State Tretyakov gallery and State Russian museum are exhibited.
