press release

Considered the father of modern photography in the United States, Alfred Stieglitz (Hoboken, New Jersey, 1864 - New York, 1946) also played an important role in the introduction of modern art and in spreading the new aesthetic ideas circulating in Europe at the turn of the century. The exhibition reflects this double dimension as an art photographer and a gallery owner, as a publisher and patron, through a selection of his own projects and those of artists, painters, sculptors and photographers represented in his excellent collection.
