Anthony Caro

Continuing with the series of exhibitions devoted to modern and contemporary sculpture, the IVAM presents a show of the sculptor Anthony Caro which reflects the work he has produced since the late sixties, when he developed his series of Table Pieces, constructions on tables, including works done using paper or pottery. We have selected about thirty sculptures, ranging up to his most recent discoveries in galvanized steel, which will occupy Gallery 1 and the esplanade. The IVAM is collaborating with the Tate in London, which is also preparing an exhibition for next year, in order to coordinate the two celebrations.

This project is the first presentation of Anthony Caro’s work by a Spanish museum.
