Art Basel's show in Basel, whose Lead Partner is UBS, returns in June for its 47th edition, with 287 leading galleries, drawn from 33 countries and territories, presenting works of the highest quality, ranging from the Modern period of the early 20th century to the most contemporary artists of today. Alongside a strong representation of galleries from Europe, exhibitors and artists will be shown from across the globe. The participating galleries have exhibition spaces in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cuba, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Galleries, the main sector of the show, will feature 221 galleries presenting the highest quality of painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, photography, video and editioned works. A strong list of returning exhibitors is joined by six galleries who will exhibit within the sector for the first time, having previously shown in Statements or Feature: Applicat-Prazan (Paris), Borzo (Amsterdam), Karma International (Zurich, Beverly Hills), Jack Shainman Gallery (New York, Kinderhook), Stevenson (Cape Town, Johannesburg) and Barbara Wien (Berlin). The Galleries sector will also include two completely new exhibitors: joségarcía ,mx (Mexico DF) and Pace/MacGill Gallery (New York).

The Edition sector, dedicated to prints and limited-editioned works, will bring together 16 specialists in the field: Brooke Alexander, Inc. (New York), Niels Borch Jensen Gallery and Editions (Copenhagen, Berlin), Alan Cristea Gallery (London), mfc – michèle didier (Paris), Atelier-Editions Fanal (Basel), Gemini G.E.L. LLC (Los Angeles), Helga Maria Klosterfelde Edition (Berlin, Hamburg), Sabine Knust (Munich), Carolina Nitsch (New York), Pace Prints (New York), Paragon (London), Polígrafa Obra Gràfica (Barcelona), STPI (Singapore), Three Star Books (Paris), Two Palms (New York) and ULAE (Bay Shore).

The Feature sector presents galleries with precise curatorial projects, showing both historical and contemporary work. This year's expanded sector will feature 32 galleries of which eight galleries are new to the show: Bergamin & Gomide (São Paulo), Corbett vs. Dempsey (Chicago), Derek Eller Gallery (New York), Grimm (Amsterdam), Moran Bondaroff (Los Angeles), Sprovieri (London), Van Doren Waxter (New York) and Waldburger Wouters (Brussels).

Solo presentations in the Statements sector offer visitors and collectors the opportunity to discover the work of emerging artists and young galleries. This year, seven of the 18 galleries exhibiting within Statements will be new to the show: Johan Berggren Gallery (Malmö), Carroll / Fletcher (London), Selma Feriani Gallery (Sidi Bou Said), Foxy Production (New York), Maisterravalbuena (Madrid), Galeria Stereo (Warsaw) and Simone Subal Gallery (New York). The Baloise Art Prize will be awarded to up to two artists exhibiting in Statements, with recipients being announced during the show.
