RASTER cordially invites You to the screenings of video works by AZORRO group

Program: PORTRAIT WITH A CURATOR, 2002 Azorro group visits openings, having portraits with curators done.

WE LIKE IT A LOT, 2001 A group tour trough Warsaw’s contemporary art galleries; a fruitful insight into a critical discourse about criteria of art evaluation.

EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DONE I, 2003 The discussion shown in the film between the members of Azorro is a /lazy brain storm/ which is supposed to result in formulating of a new, original, never before realized concept of a contemporary work of art. In spite of the toilsome attempts it does not lead to a conclusion, for all of the propositions turn out to be secondary and already used.

END OF ART, 2002 [...]

About AZORRO group: With a pinch of irony, Azorro [Oskar Dawicki, Igor Krenz, Wojciech Niedzielko, Lukasz Skapski] deals with the delicate issue of assessing contemporary art, the state of institutions responsible for exhibiting, and the position of the artist. The conventionality and deceptiveness of language is another major subject taken up by Azorro. They are sharp-witted, aiming at challenging the established norms, willing to think critically and in a quite bothersome and perverse way. Their sense of humor and good acting are their additional strengths.

With the generous support of Polish Cultural Institute in New York
