Bridget Moser. My Crops Are Dying But My Body Persists

17.03.2020-07.06.2020

Remai Modern presents a new solo exhibition and performance by Canadian artist Bridget Moser. One of the country’s leading young artists, Moser has received national recognition for her satirical performance and video projects. Drawing from prop comedy, experimental theatre and performance art, Moser uses humour to explore themes of futility and failure, confusion and loneliness, and the general awkwardness of being alive. The artist will create a new performance and video work for Remai Modern, marking her first solo museum exhibition in Canada.

Bridget Moser has presented her work at galleries across Canada, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, Mercer Union, the Art Museum at the University of Toronto, Oakville Galleries, Vancouver Art Gallery, Western Front, MSVU Art Gallery, PLATFORM Centre, and the Dunlop Art Gallery. She has presented projects throughout the US and Europe and has been a resident artist at Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como, Italy, as well as lead faculty at The Banff Centre. Her work has been featured in publications including Canadian Art, C Magazine, Art in America, Artribune Italy, and The Dance Current. She has been shortlisted for the Sobey Art Award representing the region of Ontario.
