press release

A selection of recent works by Italian-born artist Lino Mannocci (b. 1945). Mannocci’s work explores the world of myth, setting figures in a poetic landscape frequently dominated by cloud or sea. In his monotypes - a print usually created simply by painting with ink directly onto a printing plate - figures extracted from famous works of art (and other sources) are subtly incorporated into the print surface.

Clouds and Myths: Monotypes by Lino Mannocci will also feature a group of prints using figures from the Fitzwilliam’s paintings by Domenico Veneziano (1400-1461).
