David Thorpe

Known for his meticulous collages, 'The Defeated Life Restored' will be David Thorpe's most ambitious installation to date. Huge, intricately carved, wood and glass screens are set with a series of botanical studies; this all forms the backdrop to three totemic star-sculptures. Interested in the failures of 17th-century land reformers as well as the social consiousness underpinning the work of the Arts and Crafts movement in the early 20th-century.
