Proa Foundation presents, during the months of September and October, the exhibition "Diego Rivera". The exhibition is a journey through all the production of the Master of the Mexican muralism through 36 works of the Collection of the State of Veracruz, Mexico. A section of historical photography property of the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, Mexico D.F. illustrates the different moments in the life of the artist. The special section "the World of Diego Rivera" displays different elements from the Mexican popular culture that are compatible with the work of Diego Rivera.

The exhibition is divided in 3 sections: Collection of the State of Veracruz, Mexico. It includes 36 works made between 1908 and 1956. In these works the different periods of the artist are reflected: his first studies in the Academy San Carlos, his stays in Catalonia, Paris and the cubista experience. The return to Mexico and the recovery of the native thing, from integration to the muralista program of Jose Vasconcelos to his last production.

The world of Diego Rivera The rescue of the Mexican popular culture is a central subject in the work of Diego Rivera. This section recreates some of the Mexican typical icons. An "Offer to the death" in memory of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo is also presented. The famous judas that were in his home are rebuilt together with other elements related with his production.
