press release

Dusk, curated by David Hunt, will be the first group exhibition at I-20. The 20 artists gathered at the gallery will open the fall season by fashioning an antidote to sentimentalized depictions of sunset, the mystique of darkness, and the approach of night. A romantic longing for dusk is nowhere in evidence. To this end, all the work in the show is predominantly black in color.

Materials: video, DVD, photography, digital photography, sculpture, painting, installation, and Sony Glasstron goggles. Additionally, there will be a one-day sound installation by Sontext.
