Erik Dietman, TheVertical (Millésimes 1962 - 2001)

This retrospective of the protean, poetic and Rabelaisian Swedish artist Erik Dietman will include twenty works such as the masterpieces Livre Sterling, Art Mol and Raide... From monumental sculptures to striking rawings, the exhibition retraces the unconventional trajectory of an artist who found words "insufficient" and wanted to "help them by making objects".

Haegue Yang, Chronotopic Traverses

La Panacée – MoCo is pleased to invite Haegue Yang (b. 1971 in Seoul, based in Berlin and Seoul) for a solo exhibition in Montpellier. Yang has been exhibiting internationally since the late 1990s and is considered as one of most significant artists of her generation. Chronotopic Traverses brings together unexpected arrangements of new and existing works in an immersive and hybrid environment, intertwining organic and artificial elements to move across time and space.

An accompanying program integrating music and film related to Yang’s artistic consciousness will run throughout the exhibition period.

Nedko Solakov, Paintings with No Texts and Stories on Walls

La Panacée — MoCo presents Paintings with No Texts and Stories on Walls, a narrative by Nedko Solakov unfolding in 20 paintings and numerous tiny drawings created directly on the exhibition walls. The dense, colorful paintings contrast with the discreet, almost invisible stories, thus creating different levels of perception of the artist’s world.

Nedko Solakov is a major Eastern European artist. He was born in 1957 in Bulgaria, and now lives and works in Sofia. Solakov's universe is somewhere between the deconstruction of romantic German painting and the reinvention of graffiti, literature and site-specific art, and resembles no other.
