Erlea Maneros

This Basque artist (Bilbao, 1977), who currently resides in Los Angeles, has a shrewd critical approach towards the culture she lives in. Through water colours and pictures about political and social events published in newspapers, Erlea Maneros produces a series of paintings that awake a critical and thoughtful spirit in the consumer. They are responses to a social and cultural context that with increasing frequency accepts and consumes violence, camouflaged most of the time in the shape of simulated images.

The installation, conceived specifically for the space, will include a new series of work made in water colours on paper or even on the wall itself.
