Ertibil Bizkaia 2011

The Sala Rekalde exhibition space presents ERTIBIL, a touring exhibition of visual arts organized by the Department for Culture of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, which aims to support and encourage youth creators at the first steps of their artistic careers.

The twenty-eighth edition of this encounter with young art exhibits the work of twenty artists, among which are the winners of the first, second and third prize: Alain Urrutia, Miriam Isasi and Unai Requejo and Manu Uranga, respectively.

Along with the work of these artists, the exhibition features the works of another eighteen artists who have been selected: Nadia Barkate, Juan de la Rica, Saray Blades, Usoa Fullaondo, Álvaro Gil, Abián González, Eduardo Hurtado, Irune Jiménez, Ibai León, Maite Leyun, Ion Macareno, Silvia Ocejo, Jon Otamendi, Mikeldi Pérez Urkijo, Jon Mikel San Millán, Lander Telletxea and Diego Vivanco.

The jury was composed of Zuhar Iruretagoiena, Rita Sixto, Alicia Fernández, Xabier Sáenz de Gorbea and Josu Rekalde, who have selected the proposals above mentioned from a total of 108 artists who presented 161 works.

The exhibition will begin in the Sala Rekalde of Bilbao and then will travel to the towns of Getxo, Bermeo, Lekeitio Igorre, Larrabetzu, Santurtzi, Arrigorriaga, Ermua, Zalla and Gernika-Lumo.
