Fashination

More and more works of art attain their meaning in dialogue with another visual arena: the world of fashion. Likewise, the fashion scene is creating whole collections that could be transplanted from the catwalk to the art scene, generating new interpretations. As a link between these separate, yet related, worlds, a number of artists are pushing the boundaries and building bridges. Some of these are Vanessa Beecroft, Yinka Shonibare and Lars Nilsson, along with fashion designers Jun Takahashi, Martin Margiela and Hussein Chalayan.
