g-salon: a group show

g-module is pleased to announce its plans to relocate to a new space and the restructuring of its program. The new program shall include an international roster of artists which will be announced along with the new location later this year.

In the interim, we are pleased to complete this first chapter of the gallery’s program with a final retrospective exhibition at rue Debelleyme. Highlights include yet unseen works in France, notably by Dan Zeller, Marsha Cottrell, Amy Jean Porter and Scott Teplin. The show reveals the foundation, definition and branding of a gallery program. As stated on the website, the artists of g-module emphasize…

“…an impure manner of artistic research mixing scientific, political and journalistic sources to experimental forms of representation. At once, they interact with history, and veer away from it by means of a lucid delirium, automatism, or even derision. They all converge somehow into one single gaze on the contemporary world, a perception also defining g-module's point of view.”

Such a gaze is indeed revealed in full throttle with nearly 100 works on show at the gallery. Works on paper, paintings, sculptures and videos are installed in salon manner heavily dispersed throughout the two levels of the gallery Think antique store meets auction room.

This exhibition is the last opportunity to see these works before their return to the United States, thus a last chance to discover or rediscover them!
