press release
This exhibition seeks to track and evaluate the legacy of conceptual art in works produced by a generation of artists born either during, or close to, the first phase of conceptual art production (1965–75).
General Ideas will focus on works that, in part, engage with, consist of, or actively disrupt everyday procedures, processes, routines, and actions. The show seeks to explore the entanglements between (conceptual) art and the everyday, with a particular emphasis on works that embrace emotion, humor, and pathos.
