press release

Giorgio Olivieri was born in Verona where he lives and works. He is an exponent of Analytical Painting. On show are some eighty works ranging from his geometric 'object-paintings' from the early seventies, his more freely expressive and chromatic paintings from the eighties and nineties, to his recent pieces in which string is employed, as it had been in the early seventies, though now it is textured and runs along the canvas perimeter or is drawn across the surface to achieve a mature equilibrium.

Show curated by Giorgio Cortenova. Full-colour catalogue in Italian, published by Marsilio, with critical essays by Claudio Cerritelli, Giorgio Cortenova, Roberto Lambarelli, and Claudio Spadoni, and a historical-critical biography by Angela Tagliaferro.

Giuseppe Rivadossi - Il custode del tempo Giuseppe Rivadossi was born in Nave, Brescia, where he lives and works. He is a sculptor and designer. On show are some eighty works representing the high points of the artist's output: from terracottas to bronzes and examples of his design activity. He interprets the environment as the space for communication par excellence and creates from his materials the great archetypes of life, love, and poetry through everyday and mythical themes. From his Custodie to the series of Madri, his powerful and harmonious forms both contain space and defend the enigmatic tempo of the soul.
