Celebrating the centenary of Isamu Noguchi’s birth in 1904, the Whitney Museum and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden are co-organizing this major retrospective of a master’s works. Featuring drawings, architectural projects, sets for the ballet, and sculptures in many media, the show focuses on Noguchi’s early works from the 1930s and 1940s and on his magisterial stone carvings.
