The Josef Albers exhibition will show 65 pictures like drawings, works on paper, photographes and photocollages from the Josef Albers Museum Quadrat in Bottrop, Germany and from the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Bethany, Connecticut. (www.albersfoundation.org).

There will be presented his famous "Homages to the Square" and his "Variants" of the 50's and 60's. It will also show several black and white photographs (particularly on architectural subjects), which he made on his journeys through Mexico between the 30's and 50's and which had deeply inspired his following work. The intention of the exhibition, the first monographic retrospective of Albers in Italy, is also to underline the possible parallels between the german painter Albers and the master Giorgio Morandi.

There will be a catalogue published in english and italian.
