Kaljo Pollu - Timelessness

Kaljo Põllu (born in 1934) is known mostly by his graphic series conveying the national-existential spirit - Kodalased, Kalivägi, Heaven and Earth. These deep-black mezzotint series were made in 1978-1994. In the past years the artist has been fascinated by colour and has painted oil paintings on the subject matter of his series. The exhibition gives a parallel overview of the earlier and later works of the artist. Pressetext
