“KIAF2008 Finds Hidden Treasure” Participating Artists Announcement

Hoping to serve as a bridge between young artists, who are engaged in progressive and up-to-date work, and galleries home and abroad, KIAF continues the “KIAF Finds Hidden Treasure” launched in 2007. “KIAF Finds Hidden Treasure” takes aim to provide young artists with a valuable opportunity to introduce their works to many local and international gallery directors and artistic experts.

In KIAF2007, nine artists were offered a chance to present their works twice during the fair to approximately 150 visitors and artistic experts from galleries and museums home and abroad. The nine artists are keeping their career energetic up to the present time.

Nine artists in total would have a chance of presentation in “KIAF2008 finds Hidden Treasure.”; Georg Kuettinger(Germany), Koo Bon-A(Korea), Nayoungim&Gregory Maass(Korea&Germany), Oh Seungmin(Korea), Park Jino(Korea), Roxana Manouchehri(Iran), Sarawut Chutiwongpeti(Thailand), Sim Sora(Korea) and Yi Joungmin(Korea). Foreign artists’ participation particularly is considered to be an international attention to “KIAF2008 finds Hidden Treasure” and visitors will experience the recent trend of art pieces by actively working artists at home and abroad.

Considering that 218 leading galleries from 20 countries take part in the fair, “KIAF2008 Finds Hidden Treasure” is highly expected to enable not only young artists to demonstrate their competence but also galleries to unearth the talents.
