In Kirsten Pieroth and Henrik Olesen's exhibition at Dépendance arrangements of found objects are redefined through their disassociation and personalization. Focusing on the parallels between purpose and gesture, both artists assemble objects with distinct identities: Kirsten Pieroth’s array of found remnants engage with the nature of performance as past events - grouped together in a narrative way, the objects perform their own point of deflation. Henrik Olesen’s sculptural portraits of his parents suggest a materialisation of their identities associated through domestic commodities.

Henrik Olesen has recently shown in Studio Voltaire, London; MACBA, Barcelona and Kunstverein Hamburg.

Kirsten Pieroth has recently shown in Objectif Exhibitions, Antwerp; Bergen Kunsthall and silberkuppe, Berlin.
