KODE CONTEMPORARY presents national and international artists active from the 1980s to the present day.

All these artists have very different artistic expressions. In contemporary art, different strategies operate side by side and establish sub-categories. These are characterized by a number of artistic means. Some artists featured in KODE Contemporary focus on and emphasize specific techniques and materials. Others address issues related to identity, power, morality, religion and world politics; they analyse a phenomenon or document a related event.

KODE CONTEMPORARY is mounted in a way that allows the various strategies to unfold in different rooms. Certain artworks will seem more immediate due to their expressive, readable and recognizable expressions, while other works will require more time, due to their meditative and complex character.
