LISTE 16 - The Young Art Fair, the discoverer fair for young galleries and young art

Every year since its opening in 1996, the LISTE - the Young Art Fair in Basel has presented new and important galleries and highly contemporary young art. The LISTE's concept of introducing galleries in general no more than 5 years old and artists under 40 has been at the heart of its being one of the most important fairs for young art and still being considered one of the art world’s most important discoverer fair.

Nationale Suisse art prize 2011 winner: Josse Bailly, Haute école d'art et de design Genève

Josse Bailly (33), graduate of the Haute Ecole d'Art et de Design Genève, is the winner of the Nationale Suisse art prize 2011. His small-format oil paintings from the series «Jeu et guerre» greatly impressed the jury. Being awarded for the 8th time, the prize is intended for graduates of Suisse art academies who have majored in «visual arts and media art». The prize includes a monetary award of 15,000 Suisse francs and an exhibition at LISTE - The Young Art Fair in Basel. For the first time, the jury selected the winner from among the artists participating in Plattform 11 in Zurich.
