In the latest installment of the New Work series, Scottish artist Lucy McKenzie blurs the boundary between reality and artificiality with paintings, drawings, and a unique collaboration with a fashion designer. McKenzie creates oversize paintings that present trompe-l'oeil visions of 19th-century interiors, positioned as a stage set within the gallery. The installation includes clothing designs by Beca Lipscombe, who "sublets" part of the constructed space, as well as 10 fashion drawings created by McKenzie for Lipscombe's fall line.
