Innerst reinvigorates the urban and architectural landscape capturing the subtleties of light and the deconstruction of its geometry. This new group of paintings takes the viewer from New York City to Philadelphia and Cape May, exploring the complex forms in the steel armatures of the symmetrical twin Delaware Memorial Bridge, the twisting roller coasters of Wildwood, NJ, and echoed in the skyscrapers and hovering cranes of New York City.

The scale of his paintings shift from the intimate and jewel-like to some of the largest works he has completed to date, measuring 60 x 40 inches. He creates surfaces of brilliant atmospheric light by meticulously layering oils or acrylics, some works to porcelain like luster, and completes each with a handmade frame.

With his astute sensibility and masterful technique, Innerst transcends the commonplace, elevating his everyday subject matter to a heroic level. His paintings invite the viewer to savor the fleeting images of our surroundings, offering a valuable glimpse into humanity.
