20.10.2019 - 21.12.2019

Opening on October 20, 2019

To mark the opening of the new Air de Paris in Romainville we’re delighted to be presenting the choral exhibition More: 40 artists on four floors and the chance for a stroll through all the gallery’s spaces, from cellar to attic, from reserves to roof terrace.

Running over a three months time, this exhibition will see the achievement of the interior design of the gallery, a project led by Sébastien Truchot - PCA STREAM

We’ll also be welcoming Linda Grabe and her wine webzine Le Volatile, le roman du vin.

For some 30 years now Air de Paris has cultivated a fondness for the peripheral. The move to Romainville shows us pursuing this notion in a restating of Liam Gillick’s maxim «Just More/More Just».

Komunuma, «community» or «commune» in Esperanto, the language of sharing, is the name of a site of nearly 11,000 square meters in Romainville, renovated by Fondation Fiminco, where four Parisian galleries will be located in 2019. The site, a former industrial site of the 20th century located near the «Bobigny-Pantin-Raymond Queneau» station, restored by FREAKS, an architectural firm based in Paris, will house a series of galleries, a café, an artists’ residence, as well as exhibition spaces. Komunuma will open its doors in October this year with the inauguration of the new spaces of Air de Paris (founded in 1990), Galerie Sator (founded 2011), Galerie Jocelyn Wolff (founded 2003) and In Situ Fabienne Leclerc (founded in 2001).In 2019, alongside contemporary art galleries, the Fiminco Foundation will open an artist residency and exhibition program and Jeune Création association will organize exhibitions with emerging artists. The much-awaited Frac Île de France / Les Réserves will also open its doors at the same address in 2020.
