press release

Vesper is a symphonic piece made up of joyous female recollections. Vesper traces its' origins back to Greek tragedy and the role of the female chorus serving as both interpreter and narrator of the drama unfolding on the stage

Vesper is created by 55 different testimonies of women, recorded in seven original languages. The piece uses the orthodox arrangements of choirs calling antiphonally, that is, sung or recited alternately by two groups or individuals responding or answering to each other.

Hunting wild grasses

Hunting Wild Grasses is an on-going series of photographs the artist has been capturing both in Britain and abroad of simple grasses found in our cities and the tangled undergrowths of the countryside. Despite being so commonplace and mundane these grasses and their genera are surprisingly, even refreshingly, little known. 1.

The result of Oswaldo’s work are 3600 images of grasses taken with close up lenses and infrared film 2. presented as a visual orchestration. A subtle smell of apples in the space completes this sensus extravaganza Oswaldo Macià exhibition.

1. It is estimated that in the whole world there are about 620 genera and 10.000 species of grasses. Of these, only 54 genera and between 150 and 160 species are indigenous to or naturalized in the British Isles. J.C.E. Hubbar

2. capable of reading up to 1.1 nanometers. This is a scale of observation far beyond the human capacity of 700 nanometers.Kodak.
