Oteiza. Mito y modernidad

This exhibition, organized by the Museo Guggenheim in Bilbao with the collaboration of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, is the most important retrospective devoted to the Basque sculptor Jorge Oteiza (Orio, Guipúzcoa, 1908 - San Sebastián, 2003). Oteiza was one of the most significant Spanish artists of the 20th century and one who has most influenced subsequent generations through his work as well as aesthetic theories. The exhibition explores the formal and conceptual evolution of the artist through numerous sculptures, drawings and collages, as well as publications and other documents.
